KEAP Creative - An Introduction

This page has been cut and pasted from KEAP Creative's original website which no longer exists. Links and references will not, therefore, work. But the content should give a flavour of what KEAP Creative have been doing and continue to do for Newbiggin.

Peter Seddon is a founder member of KEAP Creative which was a Social Enterprise created in 2007 and whose aim was to develop the arts in and around Newbiggin. Currently the other members are Eva Hartley and Alan Vinters.

Some of the many projects they have been involved in are shown here. They include the Newbiggin Art Trail, Big Draw Events, Raku Pottery Firings, Heritage Open Days and Exhibitions.

The remaining members of KEAP Creative (KEAP Creative Leftovers) continue to hold Raku Pottery Workshops at Newbiggin Maritime Centre to coincide with Newbiggin Festival each August. They also engage in the 'Big Draw.'

They will also be working with members of the community (adults and children) to establish a series of murals in the newly refurbished courtyard at the Centre.
